Well, it's already been one month since I began my blog-adventure! I must say it has been quite a treat sharing my ideas and meeting all of you out there in the crafting blogosphere! Here is a quick wrap up of my sew-techie first 30 days!
These are the tutorials I've had a chance to share:
Puzzle Patches, Tea Clutch, Girl's Purse, Ice Cream Cone Cozies, Scrubby Buddy, Flower Corsage, Headband
In the past month, I was fortunate enough to win the Living Creatively Tote Bag design competition for my much-beloved diaper bag!
I also won a heap of fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics and I'm looking forward to sharing some projects with you made with these great prints!
I have to say a BIG thanks to these craft sites for linking to my little blog in my first month!
Thanks to Whipup for frequently posting links to my tutorials!
Thanks to Rachel for her shout out to the Object Project over at CRAFTzine.com and to CRAFT for linking to tutorials as well!
Thanks to Cindy for the opportunity to guest-blog over at Skip to My Lou!
Thanks to Anne for frequently showing linky-love over at CraftGossip!
Thanks to Rachel for often including me in her One Pretty Things daily roundups!
Thanks to Margot Potter for sending people over from her Impatient Crafter blog!
Thanks to Sister Diane of Craftypod fame for writing here-book, helping newbie bloggers like myself navigate their way through the crafty blogosphere! If your new to blogging, this e-book is certainly worth the investment!
I was so excited to have my Tea Clutch Tutorial included in the Discovery Channel's PlanetGreen.com's Best DIY projects of the week! Thanks to Blythe Copeland for her article!
Thanks and welcome to all of my new Twitter followers! Hope to keep you entertained!
And a super big thanks to rest of you crafty bloggers who have linked to the Object Project and my tutorials in the past month! Your support is greatly appreciated!
Here is a peek into what I'm doing at the moment and what I have coming up in the near future!
I'm currently wrapping up work on my e-book, which I hope to have available July 1. It is a collection of patterns and instructions for everyday baby essentials intended for moms who are just learning to sew, or for experienced sewers who want simple projects they can whip up quickly! There are 8 projects included with several different techniques you can use to create tons of different looks for each!
I'm preparing a book proposal full of my quirky ideas to send out there and "see what happens"!
I have something quite exciting coming up in October that I can't discuss the details of quite yet, but I'll be sure to share as soon as I can!
And in the midst of writing about sewing, talking about sewing, and...well...sewing- my daughter starts pre-school this fall, my son turns one in July, and this year I will celebrate my 30th birthday and my 10th wedding anniversary!
Thanks again to everyone for reading my musings, commenting, e-mailing, and letting my know how much you enjoy my little blog! Please subscribe so you can check in on me more easily and find out what crazy antics I have going on! Don't forget to post pictures of your finished projects you've made with my tutorials in my Flickr pool!
I'll look forward to bringing you more inspiration from the objects that surround us!
Have a great weekend!
~Leigh Ann~
