A big thanks to Rachel for blogging about the Object Project over at CRAFTzine.com and on her fantastic blog, Average Jane Crafter!
It's Kid's Summer Camp time at CRAFT! Check out all of their projects and ideas for keeping kids entertained during the 'sans school' months!
Here's my quick tip for keeping little fingers busy and eliminating waste at the same time! Every mother loves the creativity that "Play-doh" time can inspire. Although, if you're like me, Play-doh clean-up is a most dreaded task! No matter how hard you try, days later you're sure to find colorful bits of dried dough in the carpet, under the rug, or occassionally, the toybox!
Instead of tossing the bits in the trash, start a little collection in a ziploc bag or an empty Play-doh can. When you've accumulated a handful or more, you and your kids can use it during craft time to create cool collages! All you need is some poster board or construction paper and glue! This is a modern alternative to the macaroni-mosaic classic!
